The ME photometers are nice little devices that may be used as flow through photometers with a cuvette length of up to 4 cm. The original version has only short measurement intervals that are triggered by a steep change in the signal caused by bubbles passing the cuvette.

Altering ME photometer to allow permanent measurement rather than triggered measurement :
Cut connection to pin 8 on chip LF398 and set it permanently high by connecting pin 8 to pin 1 and 2 (pins 1 and 2 are connected).
Pin 8 controls the measurement. In the original version this line is only high short time after trigger.
We used the useless upper switch for the little VU-meter to switch between triggered and permanent measurement.german handwritten pdf with handsketch
