The right hand side of the table is a
recalculation of the elemental composition to mostly
carbonates. This is hypothetical and simply for control,
to show how much of the sample is captured by the
analyses. This does not
represent an actual XRD analyses !!!
The El/Ca ratios are for information only.
recalculated from concentrations. Please use the
ratios from the Hathorne et al (2013) paper. The
ratios in this paper are agreed upon by the coral
community after the JCp standard had been extensively
analyzed in a lab comparison study with slightly
different results:
